Guiding Uchi’s culinary voyage is the masterful head chef, Ciprian Porumbacean. With 14 years of expertise spanning European, Mediterranean, and Japanese Fusion Cuisine, Ciprian’s journey started in his family’s restaurant, where his love for food took root. Infused with a fervent devotion to Japanese philosophy, every meticulously crafted dish showcases Ciprian’s passion and persistence.

From his humble beginnings in hospitality to his education under the tutelage of award-winning bartender Kaitlin Wilkes Back, Nana’s commitment to growth is unwavering. With a penchant for whisky and premium libations, Nana introduces Japanese Whisky service rituals, elevating Uchi’s offerings to a new level of sophistication and celebration.

Designed by the renowned Studio M, Uchi’s interior is a testament to the human experience and the art of living well. Authenticity is at its core, as the space speaks to the senses and resonates with emotions. Mappa Burl veneer, Rosewood, and Emerald Green Quartzite converge, creating a harmonious fusion that complements Uchi’s culinary artistry. 

Mappa Burl veneer, once a prominent feature of the 60s and 70s, adorns the walls, skirting, and cabinetry, exuding a natural yet refined allure. Its versatility effortlessly bridges the gap between contemporary and traditional design aesthetics, with warm, rich tones reminiscent of the exquisite hues found in fine whiskey.

Crafted from rare and distinguished Rosewood, Uchi’s bar tops and dining tables exude elegance. Revered for its scarcity and unique grain pattern, Rosewood has a long-standing tradition of being used to fashion exceptional furniture pieces and exquisite musical instruments.
