Founded by Maria Osminina, Osminin Studio is a beacon of unique and visionary architecture. With a distinct focus on abstract art, the studio strives to push the boundaries of design by emphasizing the importance of the perfect line – a key tenant of minimalism. By integrating noble, natural materials, the studio creates spaces that are not only beautiful but also possess an eternal essence, bolstering their longevity for years to come.

What makes Maria’s designs truly unique is the way in which she approaches the line, transforming it from a mere element of a design to become an art form that communicates elegance and refinement. She believes that simplicity is beautiful and reflects this by using noble materials such as marble, stone, wood, pietra lavica to ensure that her designs are cohesive and possess a timeless sense of style. Refined lines, combined with the brutality of monolithic forms, create the feeling of not just furniture, but rather objects that create value free from functional tasks, but at the same time not devoid of them.

“Timeless style is a concept that transcends trends, seasons and
even decades.”

One of the most striking features of Osminin Studio’s designs is its use of a monochromatic palette. Maria’s subtle variations in color create a general feeling of a single color that only professionals can pull off. The feeling of a project, according to Maria, is always based on the color that comes from materials and light. This solution is groundbreaking and stands against the momentary trends that can quickly fade into obscurity. She believes that this approach creates a sense of timelessness that only a careful selection of colors can achieve.

Lines, transformed from a mere element of a design to become an art form that communicates elegance and refinement, convey simplicity in designs. Osminin Studio’s designs are a reflection of their founder’s visionary approach to the industry. Maria’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of timeless design has created a new paradigm of architecture that values beauty, practicality, and longevity. The studio’s unique approach is nothing short of a masterpiece.

“Lighting plays a crucial role in creating a timeless interior. A mix of natural and artificial lighting can create a sense of depth and dimension, while also highlighting important elements of the design.”

At Osminin Studio, Maria’s aim is to transform the spaces in which people reside by integrating sculptural and functional objects. Functionality is a vital element of her design philosophy, pushing the boundaries of interaction between design and practicality. One of the studio’s most distinctive features is its monochromatic palette, with subtle variations, creating a sense of overall harmony and an enhanced aesthetic appeal. Maria explains, “The feeling of a project is always based on the color that comes from materials and light. There is a lot of color in my works, but the nuances are so subtle that a general feeling of a single color is created. This solution defeats the momentary and the influence of trends, but at the same time contains a much more valuable component that forms the essence of the space: timelessness.”

The Osminin Studio’s designs embody a luxurious and elegant aesthetics, bound to last the test of time. Her designs are not just practical but convey a sense of refinement and elegance that is unmatched in the industry. Through her unique vision, she has propelled the industry forward by pushing boundaries and created a new realm of architecture that prioritizes beauty, practicality, and longevity.

To have enough breathing room in a space, Osminina need inventiveness. “Spaces with a lot of needless stuff create tension and a sensation of hustle,” she explains. “It’s not a case of ‘less is more’ or ‘less is better’ for me; I live by the idea ‘only necessary, but the best’ in whatever I do,” she says. Her guiding notion of functional emptiness is remarkable, somewhere between a case of lacking and a case of lessing, between absolute minimalism and essentialism. “I seek a sublime void, one fashioned with sculptural perfection,” she says.
