Born and raised in Milan, Federica Biasi has taken the design world by storm with her unique artistic vision and exceptional talent. Having spent two years in Amsterdam, where she explored Nordic design and identified emerging trends, Federica returned to Milan to set up her eponymous studio in 2015. Today, she works with some of the most renowned Italian and international design and furniture brands, including Nespresso, cc-tapis, Lema Gervasoni, and many others.
Federica’s style is characterized by formal simplicity, softness, and gracefulness, with an always-clean aesthetic approach that strikes the perfect balance between her personal touch and the clients’ know-how. Her focus on colors, materials, and finishes, combined with her commitment to functionality and shapes, ensures that her designs are always ahead of the curve, anticipating and setting the latest trends.
“By bringing together functionality and beauty, industrial design helps create indoor spaces that people can enjoy and appreciate.”
One thing that distinguishes Federica from many other designers is her curiosity and outgoing nature. Her glaze is always directed to new and interesting stories, travels all around the world, and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from these sources, she combines manual work and tradition to create unique and innovative solutions, imagining every detail to deliver efficient and functional products.
In 2018, Federica was named one of the six Italian Rising Talents at the prestigious Maison & Objet fair in Paris, following her appointment by master Andrea Branzi. More recently, her exceptional talent was recognized when she won the EDIDA – ELLE DECO INTERNATIONAL AWARDS 2021 as Young Talent of the Year.
“Federica Biasis Studio strikes the perfect balance between the timeless and the modern, bringing out the raw authenticity of design while still leaving room for innovation.”
One of her most memorable projects was “Lume for Nespresso,” which she designed for the official collection, reimagining the classic Italian coffee cup in her own unique and innovative way. This project helped to establish Federica as an international industrial designer with an enviable reputation.
In conclusion, I would like to say that Federica Biasi is one of the most gifted, sophisticated and innovative industrial designers of our time. Her exceptional talent and commitment to quality, combined with a unique artistic vision and passion for always pushing boundaries, promise to keep her at the forefront of the design world for years to come.
