Coquet Vaudou, a tantalizing perfume duo, reflect the aspects of personal and creative introspection of Alex and Anton. Perfumer Will Inrig, an artist and craftsman, has reimagined traditional perfumery by incorporating complex plots, emotions, and moods. Inrig worked intimately with Alex and Anton, turning their personal experiences and creative perspectives into unique fragrances that delve into the model of the golden boy – a young man who is popular, successful, but whose weaknesses are often overlooked.
Coquet Vaudou’s fragrances approach a common theme from different angles, with both perfumes exploring the golden boy’s journey of personal and creative growth. The fragrances’ scents evoke a range of emotions, taking the wearer on a poetic journey of introspection and self-discovery. These fragrances feature the best raw materials from all over the world, with each perfume being handmade according to Inrig’s formula.
“Incorporate your personal experience with the fragrances.”
Inrig’s traditional craftsmanship and painstaking attention to detail are evident in the perfumes’ handmade production. Each fragrance is carefully crafted, with raw materials individually selected and a formula carefully calibrated by the perfumer. The perfumes are then left to mature and macerate for two months to ensure optimal stability, resulting in a uniquely exquisite scent. Coquet Vaudou’s fragrances are each filled, packed, and numbered manually, further accentuating their exclusivity.
The ceramic bottles of Coquet and Vaudou’s limited edition perfume collection are each handmade by Japanese ceramist Yasuhiro Cuze from Studio Cuze. Their noble shape and unique design pay homage to ancient chess pieces, as chess involves strategic moves that are executed through the unique attack and support of individual pieces. Each ceramic vessel is individually crafted, infused with exclusive and luxurious scents that recall the monumental experiences and journeys captured in both fragrances.
“Celebrate your unique personality with these exclusive fragrances. Coquet and Vaudou are not your typical mainstream scents, but rather are made for those who appreciate something special and different.”
Each box containing the appropriate fragrance is decorated with a limited edition photographic print. Three series of photographs were taken by Danish photographer Sigurd Grunberger.
Coquet Vaudou are a testament to Will Intrigue’s vision to rethink perfumery. Raw materials from all over the world are carefully selected and woven into each fragrance, creating a one-of-a-kind fragrance that tells a unique story. Since each bottle is handmade and numbered by hand, it makes it absolutely exclusive. With its unique design and limited edition photographic prints, every aspect of Coquet Vaudou is a work of art.
